Hi Folks,

Can any body give me some advice on the use of "tags" as opposed to "categories"?  For example, What will tagging something "hobby" do or not do that categorizing the same item "hobby" won't do or will do?

Thanks,

Chris.

Good question. I've been thinking about this myself.

In many ways, tags are just more generalised versions of categories; and of space contexts; and of time contexts.

An item can have at most one category, one space context, and one time context; but it can have many tags.

Tags give an extra dimension that you can use to search across things.

HTH,
Andrew
