Remind + Wyrd
July 4, 2005 – 11:52 pmA bit of an understatement, but it has been a while since I did this blogging thing. Too busy I guess – lame as that sounds, it is true.
Nevertheless, recent events transpired to get me back to this. First after a stint back with a palmpilot and doing all the gymnastics to get it to sync with iCal, my phone, etc, the pilot decided to reset itself. Rather than go through reinstalling and syncing, I thought I’d bail on it and go back to my old system of using remind for my calendar. The second event was a post about wyrd, a wonderful frontend to remind. Wyrd is set up to use Vim as a default editor (showing the great taste of the developer) and keybindings for moving between dates, editing, etc are easily customized. Very nice system.
As an added bonus, in reading the 43folders entry about remind, I came across a reference to witch which (no pun intended) makes a keyboard junkie a much happier person under Mac OS X.

Do you know if wyrd works on windows?

I don’t believe so. The homepage for wyrd says that as a requirement:
You might be able to get it going with cygwin.
